Models and Simulations
Models and simulations are at the heart of our business.
We develop and adapt all kinds of pharmacoeconomic models:
- decision trees
- Markov and Markov/Monte Carlo models, with probabilistic sensitivity analysis
- fully probabilistic Markov/Monte Carlo models (based on Bayesian statistics)
- DES (Discrete Event Simulation) and DICE (Discrete Integrated Competing Events) models
- dynamic transmission models
- hybrid structure models
Development of frequentist (R, STATA) or Bayesian (WinBUGS) statistical models

Dossiers for various decision-making levels
The economic evaluations carried out by our company are fundamental contents of the documentation required to pass the various authorisation stages of your product::

- reclassification dossier
- PTO dossier – PTOR (Regional Hospital Formulary)
- pre- or post-marketing internal evaluation reports
- marketing and opportunity analysis
HTA reports
Preparation of full or partial HTA reports, depending on customer requirements
Medical Writing
AdRes provides a critical literature review service for technical reports and writing content for submission to scientific journals, conferences and other forms of scientific dissemination.
Real World Evidence
AdRes organises and coordinates retrospective or prospective observational studies, single or multi-centre, through an all-round management: Planning and design of the study, with drafting of the protocol and the setting up of data collection tools
- Statistical and pharmaco-economic analyses of complete studies and/or preliminary exploratory phases
- Engagement and coordination of clinical centres and ethics committees
- Organisational and scientific secretariat
AdRes is the owner of the Easier App, developed specifically to simplify Time&Motion studies, as well as several Electronic Data Collection Systems, developed for data collection aimed at prospective studies and the creation of specific professional networks.
Evaluation of scientific evidence
Great care and attention are paid to evidence synthesis, which is conducted with different techniques depending on the context, available materials and output required. AdRes has an in-house team specifically dedicated to the activity of identifying, collecting and synthesising scientific evidence:
- Focused, critical and systematic reviews
- Metanalysis and network-metanalysis
- Trial sequential analysis
- Bayesian hierarchical modelling
- Overall assessment of the quality of scientific evidence, GRADE analysis

Pharmacoeconomics: Principles and Practice
September 2022
Resource constraints in healthcare and the rising costs of new treatments have prompted the use of pharmacoeconomic studies. New techniques make it possible to adapt to the specificity of each situation, thus returning accurate calculations and estimates.
The desire to publish a more up-to-date version of ‘Pharmacoeconomics. Principle and Practice’ fits into this context and provides readers with the basic principles of this complex discipline. Compared to the version published 10 years ago, new techniques have been described, a whole new chapter on epidemiology has been added, and the reference literature and examples have been updated…
