data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Il National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) ha pubblicato le nuove linee guida per la valutazione delle tecnologie sanitarie nel gennaio 2022,<sup>1<\/sup>\u00a0introducendo un nuovo meccanismo volto ad attribuire un peso aggiuntivo agli anni di vita aggiustati per la qualit\u00e0 (QALY) per le malattie caratterizzate da condizioni di salute pi\u00f9 gravi.<\/p><p>Il NICE ha definito questi\u00a0<strong><em>severity-of-disease modifiers<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in termini di QALY futuri persi dalle persone che vivono con la malattia e ricevono standard of care rispetto alla popolazione generale. In questo contesto vengono considerate due metriche: la riduzione assoluta dei QALY e la riduzione proporzionale dei QALY. La riduzione assoluta \u00e8 calcolata come la differenza tra i QALY futuri attesi dalla popolazione generale e quelli che un individuo pu\u00f2 aspettarsi vivendo con quella condizione, dati i trattamenti attualmente disponibili. La riduzione proporzionale, invece, \u00e8 calcolata come la riduzione proporzionale di QALY futuri che una persona pu\u00f2 aspettarsi a causa della sua condizione. Se l\u2019entit\u00e0 di queste riduzioni \u00e8 sufficientemente grande, ai QALY ottenuti da una nuova tecnologia sanitaria \u00e8 assegnato un peso maggiore di uno, aumentando cos\u00ec il valore dei QALY forniti dalla tecnologia sanitaria e, di conseguenza, diminuendo l\u2019ICER e aumentando le possibilit\u00e0 che questa tecnologia sanitaria risulti essere costo-efficace. Entrambe le metriche richiedono una stima del numero di QALY futuri che gli individui affetti dalla patologia avrebbero ottenuto se fossero stati sani. Tale stima non \u00e8 un risultato standard di un\u2019analisi di costo-utilit\u00e0 e deve essere calcolata in modo indipendente in fase di sottomissione al NICE.<\/p><p>Anche se l\u2019Agenzia Italiana del Farmaco (AIFA) non ha ancora introdotto questi\u00a0<strong><em>severity-of-disease modifiers<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0per le sottomissioni in Italia, riteniamo che uno strumento adattato alla popolazione italiana potrebbe aiutare gli stakeholder a valutare efficacemente le nuove tecnologie sanitarie. Pertanto, ispirandosi al lavoro di McNamara e colleghi,<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0AdRes ha sviluppato uno strumento online che fornisce stime aggiornate sull\u2019aspettativa di vita ponderata per la qualit\u00e0 (QALE) per la popolazione italiana in base all\u2019et\u00e0 e al sesso<sup>3<\/sup>.
